Fluid Magazine
Completed for assessment at Tafe Queensland 2018
Fluid Magazine was created to present music articles of classic and emerging artists to a youthful audience. Bright colours were used for the up-and-coming musicians while classic acts and articles were displayed in greyscale to create an obvious distinction that could be carried on in future editions. The type has been placed out in sporadic fashion with intentional rivers — a nod to the name while aiming to create interest and engagement with the audience.
This cover was created by printing, cutting, layering, distorting with the use of water and marker. Once completed the image was scanned back into the digital space where vectorised type was added in a similar sporadic fashion as informed by the body copy.
